Independent home accessories and gift shop Finishing Touches is preparing to reopen in Penkridge after moving to larger premises just a few doors from its previous store.
The business has moved from 6 Market Street to 1 Market Street, taking over the former Wildlife Shop premises.
A notice displayed in the window of the new shop confirms Finishing Touches will reopen on Saturday 10 October, describing the move as the “same independent, new chapter”.
Move just five doors down
Finishing Touches announced earlier this year that it would be moving five doors along Market Street to give the business more space.
The previous shop at number 6 closed on Saturday 12 September to allow stock to be transferred to the new premises. At the time, the business had hoped to reopen towards the end of September.
Preparations have continued over recent weeks, with the opening date now confirmed for 10 October.
The new shop will continue selling home accessories and gifts, with Finishing Touches saying the larger premises will allow it to increase the amount of stock it can display.

Former Wildlife Shop becomes new home
The new premises at 1 Market Street were previously occupied by the Wildlife Shop.
Images shared by Finishing Touches show a larger shopfront and retail space than its former premises, while the business has been documenting preparations for the move on social media.
In its latest update, Finishing Touches described the relocation as the beginning of a new chapter for the independent business and thanked customers for their support during the move.
The business is now due to reopen at 1 Market Street, Penkridge, on Saturday 10 October.
