Newsletter directory listings
A compact way to introduce your business in a clearly organised local directory, grouped by business type where appropriate.
- Standard entry: your business name, a short description and agreed contact details.
- Featured entry: enhanced styling and priority positioning within the relevant directory section.
- Month-long booking: inclusion in every weekly digital issue and that month’s printed edition.
This is an advert within the newsletter. A full business listing on the website is a separate benefit, included in the promotional packages below.

A campaign.
Not just a single issue.
Newsletter advertising runs by calendar month. You book once and your approved advert appears throughout the agreed month – keeping the process simple for both of us.
Every weekly digital edition
Your advert is included in every weekly issue published in your booked month, whether there are four or five.
That month’s printed edition
The same campaign is included in the monthly print issue. Print availability, the issue and distribution arrangements are confirmed when booking.
A clear next step for customers
Digital adverts can link to your website, booking page, event or directory listing. Choose the destination that best suits the campaign; a QR code can be agreed for print.

Make the date
worth discovering.

- Print & digital promotion: the above, plus the relevant monthly printed issue.
Coverage, timing and format are agreed before booking. A dedicated Facebook post can be added separately.

Good for your business.
Part of something local.
The Stafford Spotter brings together local news, events, discoveries and community projects. Advertising income helps sustain that work, alongside the costs of running and producing the platform.
This is a commercial advertising service, not a charitable donation or a promise that your whole payment funds a particular project. Any specific project sponsorship is agreed separately.
Book ahead. Send your artwork.
Let’s get you in the next edition.
Tell me what you want to promote and when. We’ll confirm your format, availability and campaign details before the booking goes ahead.

Payment is due under the agreed booking and payment schedule.
Artwork deadline
Send approved artwork, accurate details and the destination for your digital link.
Print preparation
The monthly edition is normally sent to print around this date.
Your campaign month
Your advert runs in that month’s scheduled weekly digital issues and monthly print edition.
The same approved advert normally runs throughout the month. Event timing, public holidays and print schedules may need a different deadline; your confirmed booking sets out the details. Contact me early for time-sensitive promotions.
Before you book.
Clear expectations make for a better campaign – and a much simpler process.
Do I need to have a shop or premises?
No. Shops, cafés and venues are welcome, but so are local trades, mobile services and other locally based businesses. Advertising is primarily for businesses and event organisers based in Stafford and nearby areas. If you are unsure whether your location fits, please ask.
Can I book newsletter advertising on its own?
Yes. Directory entries, display adverts and event promotion can be booked separately. You do not need to buy a website membership first. The combined packages are there for businesses that want several channels planned together.
What should I send for my advert?
Your business name, the message or offer, contact details, relevant dates, a destination link and any approved artwork or photographs. Clear, readable design and genuine business photography are preferred. Final artwork dimensions and file requirements will be confirmed; please do not build artwork from the illustrative diagrams on this page. Ask for a quote if you need design or original content creation.
Can my advert change during the month?
The normal arrangement is one approved advert throughout the calendar month. New artwork can be supplied for the following month by the agreed deadline. If details become incorrect or an offer expires, let me know promptly; any replacement or removal is handled under the booking terms.
Does a paid package guarantee a visit or a news article?
No. The confirmed advertising placements are the guaranteed deliverables. News is selected independently for relevance and public interest. Guides, challenges and visits depend on suitability and scheduling, unless a specific piece of commercial content has been separately agreed. Paid promotions are identified as advertising.
Can you guarantee views, customers or sales?
No. Past audience figures help show the platform’s activity, but they do not guarantee the readership, reach, clicks, enquiries or sales of a particular advert. We can agree a useful call to action and, where practical, a tracked link, QR code or offer code to help you assess the response.
What happens if I miss the artwork deadline?
Tell me as soon as possible. Suitable, still-current artwork may be reused where appropriate. Out-of-date offers or expired events will not be kept live just to fill the space. Late submissions, missed placements and any replacement arrangements are governed by the booking terms supplied with your quote.
How do payments and longer-term packages work?
Standalone newsletter advertising is scheduled by calendar month. Package durations, annual or quarterly payment options, renewal arrangements and cancellation terms are confirmed in the current rate card and your booking agreement. Please check those details before paying.
Tell me what you’d
like people to discover.
You don’t need to know the right package yet. Send a few details and I can suggest an option that fits your business, timing and budget.
- Your business or event name and location.
- What you would like to promote, and any key dates.
- Your preferred month, format or approximate budget.
- A website or social link, and whether you have artwork ready.
