Pass the Poppy Charity Evening at The Star

The Star in Penkridge is hosting a Pass the Poppy fundraising evening on Tuesday 27 October to support the Royal British Legion, forming part of a wider Marston’s initiative across seven local areas. The event centres around live entertainment from vintage wartime singer Amy Johnson, who will perform a selection of 1940s favourites, including songs by Vera Lynn and Gracie Fields, starting from 7.30pm.

Alongside the live music, guests can enjoy a complimentary cheeseboard while taking part in several fundraising activities organised for the appeal. Between 7.00pm and 10.00pm, pints of Bass Ale will be available for £2 while stocks last, with the entire £2 purchase price donated directly to the Royal British Legion. The venue will also be selling limited edition commemorative poppy glasses throughout the evening to raise additional money for the charity.
