25 November @ 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Staffordshire Women’s Aid is holding a candlelit vigil in Stafford town centre on Wednesday 25 November 2026 to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls. The public vigil will take place in Market Square from 4.30pm.
During the vigil, the names of women who have been killed in the UK over the last 12 months will be read out, followed by a one-minute silence in remembrance. Staffordshire Women’s Aid has advised that people may be taking photos and videos, as this is a public event.
